We acknowledge the amazing support we have received for our Swim-To-Surive programme that we have been running for 10 Years - These Major funders below have allowed the programme to grow from a single Deepwater and Boat Safety lesson to 10 lessons for all primary acged tamariki in CHB at the 16 schools/kura as well as the Homeschooled and Corrsespondence whanau.
The Swim-To-Survive programme operates over a 2 year cycle to accommodate the logistics of fitting in around other school events and also the timetable of the Centralines Pool and trained instructors. we are currently about to start our third 2 Year cycle of the programme with the continued support of our very important funders.

Our Purpose
To assist Central Hawke’s Bay school children in learning to swim and survive in and around water.
The Event
The annual Swim-a-thon is the main
fundraiser for the CHB Swim 4 Lives group. Over the last eight years the event has raised just over $48,000 in funds to support CHB Schools and ensure that all CHB Children can learn the important skills necessary to survive in deep water.
Research shows 80% of Kiwi kids cannot swim well enough to save themselves. It is so important that all children in New Zealand learn swimming and water safety as core life skills. The CHB Swim 4 Lives group is committed to providing support and assistance to help improve the swimming ability of all Central Hawke’s Bay children.
